Why Probiotics?

Probiotics are living organisms within us. They function to improve the immune system, assist with weight loss, help with lowering cholesterol, improving our digestive systems, and improving our mood. Probiotics have also been shown to possibly reduce inflammation and assist in removing toxins. With the right ingredients probiotics have also been shown to help with the production of vitamins. There are many different types of bacteria that reside within the human gastrointestinal tract. Probiotics are not just good for your stomach, but also can help in other areas of the human body and health including: the brain, cholesterol, weight loss and immune modulation.

When selecting a probiotic it is always important to look for the following key criteria:

  • Bacteria strains (a good probiotic will typically contain several strains of bacteria)
  • Amino acids, vitamins , minerals  and prebiotics to allow attachment of the probiotic to the GUT wall
  • Resistance to bile acids (resistance to bile acids and enzymes)
  • Attachment of probiotic to the GI wall
  • Ability to destroy pathogenic bacteria
  • Probiotics should contain 70 billion + CFU
  • Time release capsule to ensures the probiotic doesn’t break down before reaching the colon
  • Health Canada approval and clinical testing of all strains (all strains found in Remidi PB-70 have been tested and ensured safe for human consumption).

When can you expect to see results?

Results will vary from person to person and will depend on many factors including your overall health, the condition that is being treated and the your current diet. Normal time to see results may be up to three months, however people taking PB70 have reported results in as little as a few weeks.

Don’t forget!

Each probiotic is formulated differently and uses different ingredients so if you suffer from allergies or intolerances to certain ingredient it is key to read the labels. Some probiotics may contain, wheat, eggs, soy and other commonly known allergens so you should always ensure you select a probiotic which will agree with your dietary restrictions.
